FrostGuard – Textile Defrost Ducts for Air Cooler Defrosting
Innovative solution for faster and more efficient defrosting
Textile defrost ducts enable faster and more efficient defrosting of air coolers. A short textile duct (open at the bottom) mounted on the fan collector lowers when the air cooler is turned off, effectively trapping warm air generated by electric heaters inside the air cooler chamber to accelerate the defrosting process.
Core Benefits
- ✓ Faster defrosting – warm air is effectively trapped inside the cooler chamber
- ✓ Energy efficient – optimized use of heating energy during defrost process
- ✓ Automatic control – duct lowers when fan is switched off automatically
- ✓ Diameter reduction – enhanced reach of air from the radiator
- ✓ Durable and reliable – robust textile construction for continuous operation
How It Works
A short textile duct is mounted open at the bottom on the fan collector. When the air cooler is turned off and the fan stops operating, the duct lowers and effectively covers the fan outlet. This traps the warm air generated by electric heaters inside the air cooler chamber, accelerating the defrosting process. Once defrosting is complete, the fans are switched back on, causing the short textile duct to rise and no longer restrict airflow. A diameter reduction feature enhances the reach of air from the radiator, ensuring optimal performance.
Applications
Air coolers with direct evaporators, Industrial cooling systems, Large installations with automated defrosting, Systems with energy efficiency requirements
